Mini-Medical and Mini-Dental Clinics
Our mission to provide continuous healthcare to the remote villages in Nepal doesn’t stop with our periodic visits. Throughout the year, we organize Mini-Medical, Dental, and Acupuncture clinics to ensure the people receive the care they need, even in our absence.
To make this possible, we need your support to fund transportation for Nepali healthcare providers to Phillim and cover essential support staff. Our budget for three separate mini-clinics is $24,000.
Urgent Need for Digital X-ray
Completed!!!
A crucial component for the success of our dental clinics is a digital dental X-ray machine, which will enable the dentists to safely and effectively treat patients. The cost of this equipment is $8,000, and its acquisition is imperative to improve dental care in these communities.
Construction of the Health Center in Phillim
One of our long-term projects is the construction of a new health center in Phillim. This is a five-year plus project that will provide continuous healthcare services to the surrounding mountain communities.
Scholarship Program
Our scholarship program nurtures talented young people from isolated villages who aspire to pursue medical careers.
Krishna has completed his acupuncture studies and will return to Phillim to open his practice and provide care to the local villagers.
Jenu Gurung has completed her first year of birthing attendant training and will continue her education to serve her community.
We are also supporting students pursuing pharmacy and laboratory technician programs. Your contributions help cover tuition, living expenses, and training costs, ensuring these students can return to serve their communities.
Hepatitis B Vaccination Program
Our local team is actively administering the three-part Hepatitis B vaccine series in remote villages of the Tsum Valley. The second cluster of villages is currently receiving the vaccine, and the second dose was successfully delivered during the treacherous monsoon season.
This program is vital for preventing the spread of Hepatitis B and protecting the health of these isolated communities.
