Construction of the Health Center in Phillim is well underway. The footings, retaining walls, and foundation are complete, marking a major milestone in the project. With the rainy season now behind us, the next phase of construction is ready to begin. We are currently awaiting clearance of a recent rockslide so building materials can be safely transported to the site.

Mini Medical & Dental Clinics Serve Over 600 Patients
The recent mini medical and dental clinics have been successfully completed, providing care to more than 600 patients. A dedicated team of dentists, physicians, nurses, and acupuncturists worked together to deliver much-needed treatment and support to individuals and families in the community.
HERO Scholars Advance Local Healthcare
HERO-sponsored scholarship recipient Krishna has successfully completed his acupuncture studies and will soon return to Phillim to open his practice, providing care to local villagers. Our second scholarship recipient, Jenu Gurung, has completed her first year of birthing attendant training, continuing her path toward improving maternal health within her community.

Hepatitis B Vaccination Effort
The local HERO team has successfully administered the second dose of the three-shot hepatitis B vaccine series. Over the course of ten days, the team traveled to remote mountain villages during the treacherous monsoon season to deliver this life-saving protection to communities with limited access to healthcare.
HERO is supporting Elevate Nepal’s Makwanpur Rural Community Development Project, which brings critically needed clean water infrastructure to extremely isolated villages. Learn more about this vital work at https://elevatenepal.org/

We are thrilled to share that HERO helped Elevate Nepal meet their $50,000 matching donation for the clean water project! Together, HERO and Elevate Nepal are making a significant difference in the lives of communities across Nepal.
HERO will be returning to Nepal in late March 2026 to continue supporting the mountain communities and the people of this region.
